Reforestation Project
in collaboration with Tate Wani Association
Today, the use of pesticides, intensive logging and other environmental damage linked to our consumption patterns are having a major impact on biodiversity and the balance of nature.
Vari Vena wants to take an active role in protecting the environment and our planet’s various ecosystems.
We are aware that each and every one of us has a responsibility in the face of climate change, and that we have the opportunity to act locally, in our own homes, towns and communities, to preserve the environment.
As an association, we are committed to the living world and to planting new seeds for future generations.
One of our objectives is to participate in the purchase of land in Europe so that we can plant trees, participate in reforestation on our territories and bring back to life soil that has already been contaminated.
In this way, we can share our knowledge and contribute to the well-being of the entire environment.
A collaboration with TATE WANI
Our association works in collaboration with the Tate Wani team, which handles land purchases and reforestation in the south of France. Thanks to memberships in the Vari Vena association, we buy trees that are planted by Tate Wani.
We also have a campaign to raise funds to help them purchase land.
THE PROJECT
The Tate Wani association is seeking to raise funds for a project to purchase land in the commune of Coaraze, on the banks of one of the sources of the Paillon, in the Alpes Maritimes, mainland France, 1 hour from Nice. The Paillon valley is still protected from the impact of the Nice metropolis.
The purchase of this land, with a surface area of 2hA, including 35,000m2 of cultivable terraces, with good potential (old crops, notably beans, which need rich soil and water) and can be developed for a selling price of 35,000€.
This location would enable several projects to be carried out at the same time:
- Preserve this space and create a nourishing forest (around a hundred trees to be planted, access to the river…). A place to recharge your batteries, away from human activity, between the river and the mountains.
- Create a tree nursery for future planting projects.
- Open up a space for sharing knowledge and raising awareness of nature.
Acquiring this land would enable the association to be independent and autonomous, to be able to receive groups and with a base for our activities (tree nursery, greenhouse, …). The land is adjacent to Mara Copa and Antonin, so we can keep a constant eye on the site and maintain and protect the trees planted and the small trees in the nursery.
Mara Copa, Antonin, Alain and Camille are currently the driving forces behind Tate Wani. Our diverse backgrounds and training enable us to create projects, run them and pass on our knowledge and understanding of the environment.
HELP US PRESERVE
REFORESTING OUR FORESTS in Europe
"We have already planted 150 trees and we are developing two forest garden projects in our territories on three hectares"
TATE WANI
Who is Tate Wani?
The Tate Wani Association works to share and support conscious relationships with the living.
We support sensitive communication and balance with nature through the dissemination and integration of a way of life in relation to the deep values of respect for the environment.
Tate Wani acts on the reconnection and transmission of ancestral know-how, spiritual traditions linked to Mother Earth and the elements: water, fire, earth, air.
Our inspirations are born from Native American traditions: Lakota, Mexica, Amazonian, indigenous Indo-European traditions and our own experience and relationship with the living.
As humanity, we feel separate from Mother Earth, but we are part of her. By taking care of her, we take care of ourselves and give ourselves the opportunity to listen to her needs.
Today, she whispers to us that we can take responsibility for planting trees, sowing and caring for seeds, that we can share knowledge of good living with new generations.
This is what Tate Wani works for, to manifest our dream of a new humanity.
« Tate Wani is a 1901 association whose aim is to enable as many people as possible to reconnect with Nature. Like the people of the primary forests, we are carrying out reforestation actions and raising awareness in our community, hoping to reach as many people as possible through simple actions.
To do this, we want to create moments of discovery, sharing and transmission for all publics. This can take different forms, but for the moment we’re focusing on participative tree planting, botanical walks and wild harvesting. »
